LES
The Lower East Side (LES) hosts various ecosystems, creating tools to study and understand the LES community helps scientists and activists better serve those who live there. Our program combines technology and community science to interest high school students in biology, programming, engineering, and environmental science. This program was structured to allow students to do plenty of hands-on work and freely explore the topics we teach in whatever way works best for them. These topics and structures are achieved through 10-12 week long curriculum with a focus on air quality and various discover programs focused on engineering
