1. Central Nervous System - the part of the nervous system made up of the brain and spinal cord

2. Stimulus - information or changes in the environment that can be detected by an organism’s sense organs

3. Receptor - body parts, organs, or cells that are specialized for detecting specific stimuli from the environment and relaying that information to the brain in a form it can understand

4. Sensation - the process of detecting a stimulus through the sense organs

5. Perception - the process of determining the identity or meaning of information from the senses
