How can I make an ecosystem for microorganisms?
Join Colm, a biophysicist (a scientist who uses physics to study biology and visa versa), as he creates the perfect habitat for some very small organisms called yeast in a system we often call "sourdough starter."
Materials for kitchen ecosystem:
- dish soap
- jar (or any container w/lid)
- knife
- tablespoon (or any measuring spoon)
- ruler
- flour (or any kind of food)
- water
- paper and pen to record your data
Recommended for middle and high schoolers
