We wanted to learn how different levels of dissolved oxygen and nitrogen concentration found at different depths affect polyp settlement and medusae blooms of the Aurelia aurita “Moon jellyfish” found in the Hudson River? We believe polyps will settle best and mature jellyfish will survive best in lower depths where there is a lower oxygen concentration and higher nitrate concentration.
